Welcome to Lara Yoga!

My name is Larisa.
Like many others, I came to yoga out of despair. At the age of 46, I felt like an absolute "wreck": many years of back and neck pain, chronic fatigue, depression, which I had to get out of with the help of drugs ... At some point, hopes for medicine dried up, and I realized that I needed to look for other ways to help myself.
And then one day my search led me to a yoga studio. I was lucky - I met Joanne, my first Teacher and my Guru, a wonderful person and responsive instructor. Believe it or not, I felt a relief - both physical and mental - after the very first lesson. Moreover, it was a relief so evident that I realized: I had found the miracle cure that I had been seeking for so long. Yoga has become my hobby, my salvation. No matter how tired I was after work, I hurried to the next lesson, after which I was coming out rejuvenated and inspired. After 4 years of training, I realized that my physical condition has become much better than 20 years ago. This could not but affect the appearance, character, attitude towards life. I wanted to learn how to share this knowledge, and I decided to become a yoga instructor.
On completing a one-year course and receiving a certificate, I started teaching - first to friends, then I opened a studio. Later, due to a great desire to increase my expertise in teaching yoga, I completed two more yoga teacher courses and have been continuing my studies. I help people to strengthen their physical and mental health and I find in this my vocation, great satisfaction and joy.
Now I am 59 and I am glad that I have the opportunity by my own example to show people who believe that yoga is only for the young and flexible, that neither age nor complexion does not matter if your goal is health of body and spirit.
